Low-Volume & Bridge Manufacturing

When you need more than a handful of prototypes but hard tooling still looks premature, HC-Mold builds bridge routes: soft molds, scheduled CNC lots and sheet fabrications that protect cash while keeping inspection measurable.

How HC-Mold runs this work

  • Aluminum / soft-steel tools for hundreds to low thousands of plastic parts
  • CNC and sheet lots for metal end-use parts without progressive dies
  • Inspection plans scaled to pilot builds — not copied from mass production blindly

FAQ — Low-Volume

What counts as low volume here?

Often dozens to several thousand pieces, process-dependent. We recommend the route after reviewing annual demand, cosmetic bar and how often CAD still changes.

Will bridge parts match production cosmetics?

Soft tools and CNC can get close, but texture, knit lines and unit cost differ from hardened multi-cavity steel. We call those gaps out before you approve a pilot.
